Johnnie Shand Kydd is a British photographer whose career began with a series of photographs documenting the community of Young British Artists (YBA) before they became household names. This work was soon collected into his first book, Spit Fire, and featured in the Sensation show at the Royal Academy in 1997. From this portfolio, the National Portrait Gallery acquired 42 prints.
I collaborated with the artist to craft his branding and build his digital portfolio. The result was a sophisticated logomark that subtly displays his initials. We developed a custom graphic treatment to frame the collections and facilitate navigation through the themes. The website followed this spirit, elegantly showcasing his photography.
